BUILDING STEAM: INTERSECTIONS BETWEEN ART, MATH, AND SCIENCE IN ARCHITECTURE
February 22, 2014 • 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Take this workshop and discover the art and science of architecture through dynamic presentations led by a math specialist, an architect, and classroom teachers. Invigorate your own interdisciplinary instruction using the Common Core Standards by learning about the collaborative, project-based learning models designed by teachers at the Wildwood Outreach Center. These programs are presented in conjunction with the Skirball exhibition Global Citizen: The Architecture of Moshe Safdie and in partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Education.
