TEACHING THROUGH STORYTELLING: NOAH'S ARK AT THE SKIRBALL

July 9–11, 2013 • 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Audience: K–Grade 4 Teachers

Storytelling has the power to enliven your classroom curriculum and to inspire students to develop creative modes of communication and collaboration. The Skirball's award-winning Noah's Ark exhibition brings to life an ancient story that has parallels in flood narratives from cultures around the world, and provides an exciting platform for exploring the craft of storytelling through puppetry, percussion, and theater arts. K–Grade 4 teachers can explore the themes and teaching techniques of Noah's Ark by participating in hands-on, artist-led workshops and designing interdisciplinary lessons that support language arts, social studies, math, and science curricula. Earn one LAUSD salary point and gain access to advanced registration for 2013–2014 school tours.

PRICE:
$75.00 per person for all three days
