The Films of Daniel Burman

At only thirty-six years of age, director, writer, and producer Daniel Burman-whose films exquisitely portray life in Buenos Aires-is considered a central figure of the New Argentina Cinema movement.  He has earned acclaim for his largely autobiographic trilogy of films starring Daniel Hendler, all of which feature lead characters named Ariel who act as windows into Argentina's vibrant Jewish community.

In this series, view Burman's feature films, including the entire Ariel trilogy-Waiting for the Messiah, Lost Embrace, and Family Law-and experience how they speak truths that resonate far beyond the world of Burman's characters.
