The Skirball offers a variety of group experiences for general visitors and schools, from docent-led tours of permanent and changing exhibitions to group discounts for Noah’s Ark at the Skirball. Public Tours

The Skirball Cultural Center offers docent-led tours of the Skirball Cultural Center's core exhibition Visions and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America and for select temporary exhibitions during public hours. All tours start at the entrance to the Museum. Tours are free with Museum admission and last approximately one hour. Public tours are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. School Tours

The Skirball Cultural Center offers educator-facilitated group tours on weekday mornings during the academic school year for students Pre-K–Grade 12. All programs are specifically aligned with California State Education standards and are designed to be interactive, multidisciplinary, and inquiry-based. Click here for more information.


Other Group Visits and Tours

Noah’s Ark Group Guidelines The Skirball welcomes the general public to reserve self-guided group visits (for 10 to 60 people) at discounted rates to Noah’s Ark at the Skirball on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with entry times between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. The galleries are open until 5:00 p.m. Noah’s Ark self-guided group visits must be booked one week in advance of the visitation date. See admission fees below. Due to space and staffing limitations, birthday party celebrations cannot be accommodated. The Skirball does not offer docent-led tours of Noah’s Ark at the Skirball. Please note that groups will not have exclusive access to the exhibition. To schedule a Noah’s Ark group visit, please contact (877) 722-4849 or e-mail grouptours@skirball.org.

Group composition: A minimum 1/4 adult/child ratio is required.

Permanent and Changing Exhibitions Group Guidelines For groups of 10 or more people, please make a reservation in advance to schedule a private, docent-led tour for your group. Maximum capacity varies depending on selected date and tour.

Permanent Collection Group Tours: Private, docent-led group tours of the Skirball Cultural Center's core exhibition Visions and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America are available upon request for groups of 10 or more. Tours last approximately one hour. To schedule a private, docent-led tour of the permanent collection, please contact (877) 722-4849 or e-mail grouptours@skirball.org.

Other Group Tours, including Temporary Exhibition and Specialty Tours: Private, docent-led group tours of select temporary exhibitions and themed specialty tours are available upon request for groups of 10 or more. All private, docent-led group tours must be booked at least three weeks in advance of the visitation date. Private, docent-led group tours can be scheduled Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Private, docent-led group tours cannot be scheduled on Thursdays.

Group Fees and Payment Information


$7 General, Seniors, and Full-Time Students
$4 Children 2–12
Children under 2 are free

To receive group rates, groups must pay for at least 10 tour participants. If a group includes Skirball Members, the group must pay for a minimum of 10 participants before Skirball Members are entitled to free admission for private, docent-led tours. Advance payment by credit card is required for all group tours. There are no refunds.



Dining Options


We offer several dining options for your group visit.

  • Private catered meals.
  • Lunch at Zeidler’s Café, open 11:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Beverages and desserts are served until 4:30 p.m.
  • Lighter fare—sandwiches, salads, family-friendly snacks—at Zeidler’s Cart, open 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
  • Bring your own lunch. Please note that food is not permitted in the galleries. If you are arriving for a group visit, plan to eat your lunch prior to your gallery entry time. Tables are located in the Skirball’s Taper Courtyard but are not always available and cannot be reserved.
