Check us out! The Skirball offers an exciting range of programs and volunteer opportunities especially for teenagers. Skirball Teen Corps
The Skirball seeks friendly, outgoing, and motivated teens to join the Skirball Teen Corps. By participating in this volunteer program, teens gain community service credit, professional experience in a museum setting, exposure to arts and cultural events, and the chance to collaborate with peers from all over Los Angeles. Participants will also be invited to attend Skirball film screenings, concerts, lectures, and other enriching, fun-filled public programs—all for free! WHO'S ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THE SKIRBALL TEEN CORPS?—All students in Grades 9–12 are encouraged to apply! No prior museum experience required! You must commit to participating eight hours a month for at least six months, but all participants are welcome to volunteer more hours and past the six-month commitment. Also, be prepared to provide your own transportation to and from the Skirball. WHAT JOBS ARE AVAILABLE TO TEENS?—Throughout the six-month commitment, teens will be trained to take on a variety of duties. Job responsibilities include:
WHAT IS THE TRAINING AND JOB SCHEDULE?—Participants must commit to participating eight hours a month. Specific time slots for the jobs described above depend on your availability and the Skirball’s programming schedules.
