ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Take a nostalgic and practical look at the art of letter writing and its historical and current value, as well as the importance of connecting to one another via the written word.
Participants will learn how to enhance, expand, and develop relationships through well-crafted personal communication and how partaking in this time-honored method benefits you and your social circle.
The workshop will cover techniques for writing different kinds of letters such as thank-you notes, condolences, and diary entries. It will also show how to incorporate the art of letter writing into social media. The materials kit for each student includes postage stamps, decorative stationery, and notecards. Bring your address book.
Instructor: Nancy Caldwell is a published writer and award-winning artist. For more than twenty years she has facilitated creative arts workshops that provide a safe environment to explore students’ unique talents and abilities to enhance and celebrate their lives.

If only I live close enough to take this class I would be there in a minute. In this era, letter writing is a lost art. To rebel, I hand write a thank you note to all of my students who give me little gifts. There is another, finer way to communicate rather than email, and texting.
