Focused on memoir and its sister genre, personal essay, in this class you will develop and craft your work, studying the elements that enhance your writing and help your stories to cohere.

Viennese Café Culture and Cooking Class

Tuesday, February 3, 1:00–5:00 p.m. (1 session)

Find out more about some of Hollywood’s most talented Austrian émigrés through a tour of the exhibition Light & Noir: Exiles and Émigrés in Hollywood, 1933–1950. Afterwards, prepare traditional apple strudel and other Viennese pastries to enjoy in the site-specific installation Café Vienne, which pays tribute to early-twentieth-century Viennese café house culture.
