ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This one-day program, offered in partnership with Otis College of Art and Design, introduces students to the visual and elemental properties of glass and the art of glass fusing.
Learn how to work with sheet, rod, crumbled, and powdered glass and, through a variety of techniques, create elements for sculpture and jewelry. Led by a professional glass artist in an informal workshop atmosphere where you can learn as much about the medium, process, and equipment as you wish.
No previous experience is necessary.
Instructor: Kristin duCharme has an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design and has studied glass working at Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle. She works in various commercial and fine-art fields and is the owner of Firework Studio, specializing in fused-glass sculpture, jewelry, and gifts.

Additional fee: $25 lab fee payable to instructor covers cost of materials and firing for class project. Projects will be fired at instructor’s studio and returned to students via mail.
