ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Learn how to design and create your own jewelry in this course offered in partnership with Otis College of Art and Design.
During this eight-week course, students design and create their own jewelry. Basic bead-stringing and wire-wrapping methods are demonstrated step by step. The course also covers knotting, French wire, and finishing techniques. Projects include a variety of styles of necklaces, bracelets and earrings from single- and multi-strand beaded necklaces with different endings to wire-wrapped bead and chain necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
Instructor: Faye Rouhi, BA, Gisson University (Germany). Rouhi is the owner of Faye Rouhi Designs where she has been creating custom apparel and accessories for more than twenty years. Her new jewelry line, FayeLei Custom Jewels, launched in November 2009.
