ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Examine the challenges facing America’s founders as they broke from Britain, forged a new form of democratic government, and established the precedent of individual rights.

This tour will bring to life the triumphs of the revolutionary generation while also exploring its failures to deal with slavery, native populations, and women’s rights. Meet docent in the lobby.

Now on Skirblog: Museum Director Robert Kirschner reflects on the exhibition.
