READINGS AND TALKS

Linda Greenhouse—How High Is The High Court?

Thursday, January 17, 8:00 p.m.

ADMISSION

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Join Linda Greenhouse, former Supreme Court reporter for The New York Times and now Yale Law School’s Knight Distinguished Journalist in Residence,
as she assesses the U.S. Supreme Court and discusses its future.

As Greenhouse will address, today’s highest court seems at once more present in
American life and more remote. Has the court become too high, too removed from the country and its citizens? Or has the court gotten
too low, with the justices showing their partisan colors? Moderated by Henry Weinstein, Legal and Journalism Scholar, UC Irvine School of Law.

Presented as part of Zócalo at the Skirball, the popular L.A. cultural forum, which presents a series of thinkers and doers speaking on some of the most pressing topics of the day.

Arrive early and visit the galleries—Creating the United States and related exhibitions, as well as Audrey’s Museum Store, will remain open until 8:00 p.m. Program ticketholders gain free gallery admission.
