About the performers
Los Angeles duo Hunter Hunted weaves intricate vocal harmonies and heartbeat rhythms into voluminous, soaring songs that toe the line between California indie and alternative rock. Since the band's inception in January 2013, they’ve been included in MTV's "Artists to Watch," Nylon magazine's "Bands to look out for," and KCRW's "Bands We Love." Their standout track "Keep Together," has made the rounds on TV shows like The Vampire Diaries and The Real World, and upcoming tours are in the works with The Mowgli's and Fun.

Harriet songwriter Alex Casnoff was the keyboard player for Dawes and PAPA before starting this band in the fall of 2011. The band's debut EP, Tell the Right Story, mixes an anxious optimism with a dark sense of humor, and straddles the line between classic Americana and the sonic experimentation of electronic music. Together with bassist Aaron Folb, drummer/percussionist Henry Kwapis, and guitarist Adam Gunther, Casnoff delivers songs with the repetition and groove of dance music embellished with alluring hooks.
KCRW radio host Anthony Valadez has been DJing for over fifteen years and was exploring the dial for obscure beats before he was old enough to enter the clubs. He currently holds down four DJ residencies across Los Angeles, from Venice to Highland Park, each with a different vibe.
About the art performance
Toby’s Secret Society comes alive in a spectacular performance created by Gary Baseman and choreographed by Sarah Elgart with costumes by Swinda Reichelt. Featuring Veritas, the Goddess of Dreams, the Princess of Secrets, the Sacred Magi, and the Wild Girls, the Baseman characters will perform a special ritual that unveils “Secrets and Truth.” A trademark aspect of Baseman’s performance art, audiences will engage dynamically to complete the performance—many who will go home with exclusive performance keepsakes.
In “Secrets and Truth," Baseman and Elgart will collaborate to design a site-specific performance experience that transforms the unique architecture of the Skirball Cultural Center using Baseman's art.
Featuring dancers Corinne Kinnear, Angela Rebelo, Andrea Sobke, Anastasia Sinitsyna, Christine Sawyer, and William Harris.
Music composed and arranged by Scott Hackwith, featuring members of Cassette Recordings Collective L.A. & Iceland.
