ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Bring the whole family to the Skirball’s Last Weekends of the Month. These fun-filled Saturdays and Sundays feature special last-weekend-only performances and activities that change every month. Take part in related art activities in the Family Art Studio, too.
Winter Family Concerts! For the month of December, enjoy special family-friendly Winter Concerts in the Magnin Auditorium.
Concerts take place from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
December 28: Jambo—The two-time Parents' Choice Award–winner transports you and your family through the roots of American music. One part Mississippi Delta, one part New Orleans street corner, and one part Chicago juke joint, Jambo’s performances are a trip through the imagination.
December 29: The Pop Ups—The 2013 Grammy nominee for Best Children's Album plays toe-tapping tunes and an electronic pop sound while incorporating colorful props, coordinated costumes, and puppets.
January 25 and 26—Inspired by the exhibition Global Citizen: The Architecture of Moshe Safdie, help those in need of shelter by participating in hands-on, interactive activities with the Habitat for Humanity, Greater Los Angeles Chapter.
February 22 and 23—In conjunction with the exhibition Global Citizen: The Architecture of Moshe Safdie, join local organization Trash for Teaching in transforming cast-off industrial materials into unique buildings and structures.
