ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Rhythm Child leads families in a participatory drum circle, creating sounds and rhythms that are fun for all ages.
Rhythm Child was formed in 2003 by husband-and-wife team Norman and Heather Jones. The group’s mission is to encourage children to create soulful music with percussion, while also building their self-confidence. Rhythm Child has also recorded albums, such as the recent Eat a Bowl of Cherries, and participated in First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move initiative by performing at the White House to get kids drumming and moving their bodies.
