ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Join us for the second annual Water Day at the Skirball! This refreshing day of fun is devoted to celebrating one of our most precious commodities: water.
Cool off with creative games using water in inventive ways, enjoy water-themed workshops and art activities, and learn about related environmental issues. For more information, see full schedule below!
SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
All Day Long (10:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.)
• Enjoy kid-powered water play with Pump and Splash.
• Marvel at the bubble art of bubble artist Lena Horelick.
• Take part in fun-filled learning with Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, Friends of the L.A. River, and L.A. Zoo.
• Watch clips from a new documentary, Hidden Water, about the importance of water worldwide, with Participant Media.
• Make watercolor art in the Family Art Studio.
• Cool off in the Skirball’s rainbow mist arbor.
12:00 and 2:00 p.m.
• Meet real animals that live around water when Wildlife on Wheels takes the stage.
1:00 p.m.
• Experience the interactive performance "Storms, Arks, and Rainbows," a Skirball-telling of the Noah’s Ark story.
3:00 p.m.
• Join Skirball staff in playing creative games, using water in inventive ways.
