About the Program
By Grabthar’s Hammer, we’re getting the fandom back together! Join us in celebration of Star Trek at the Skirball with a screening of Galaxy Quest. This comedy-adventure finds the stars of a long-defunct sci-fi television series at the center of a very real intergalactic conflict. (1999, 102 min. Rated PG.)
Join us for a pre-screening conversation and Q&A with Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot and Star Trek expert Scott Mantz at 7:45 pm.
Arrive early to view the exhibitions! Museum doors open at 7:00 pm for viewing of the exhibitions “I’ll Have What She’s Having”: The Jewish Deli, Talking Back to Power: Projects by Aram Han Sifuentes, and Visions and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America. Cocktails, wine, beer, and light fare will be available for purchase throughout the night.
Note: Screening will be moved indoors in the event of rain.
