About the Program
Learn about the storied life of Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, and peek behind the curtain of his most beloved and celebrated musicals in this new class.
From his earliest successes in the late 1950s, such as West Side Story and Gypsy, through the six decades of his brilliant career, which included shows such as Company, Follies, Sweeney Todd, and Into the Woods, Sondheim remained a relentlessly innovative theatrical force until his recent passing.
Sondheim may be gone, but his legacy as Broadway's poet laureate will live on.
