About the Program

Commemorating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities! Join Nicole Newnham and Jim LeBrecht, co-directors of the documentary Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution, for a livestream conversation moderated by Elana Naftalin-Kelman, Director of Programs for Campers and Young Adults with Disabilities at Camp Ramah in California.

Before the talk, make sure to watch Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution. Executive produced by Michelle and Barack Obama, this compelling documentary tells the story of a groundbreaking summer camp that galvanizes a group of teens with disabilities to help build a movement. Together, the teens forge a new path toward greater equality and the eventual passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

A Netflix Original Documentary, Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution is available to stream on Netflix. Netflix subscribers can watch it at netflix.com/cripcamp.
