About the Class
Journey into the creative and expressive sides of acrylic painting and mixed media* with a contemporary approach and find your own creative voice. Taking inspiration from Skirball exhibitions, students are treated to a private docent-led gallery tour before creating their own work either in a plein-air or classroom setting. While all styles and genres are welcomed and encouraged, the emphasis in this class will be on personal expression and locating your inner artist.
This course is open to students of all levels with individual attention given to each student.
*Alternative painting mediums include watercolor, gouache, and pastel.

Instructor: Richard Bruland studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and California Institute of the Arts in Valencia. He has exhibited extensively throughout the US and is represented by Lora Schlesinger Gallery at Bergamot Station, Santa Monica.
