About the Program
This sweeping documentary series addresses the question, “Where Do We Come From?” The series blends cutting-edge science and poetic storytelling in a visually breathtaking journey rooted in the culture and traditions of Hawai‘i. The Story of Everything traces the arc of existence from the birth of the universe to the choices humanity faces today.
The Story of Everything enthralls with an electrifying performance by Kealoha—Hawai‘i's first Poet Laureate Emeritus and MIT-trained nuclear engineer—who leads a short workshop following the screening.

The Story of Everything is comprised of narration by award-winning actor and Moana star, Auli‘i Cravalho and an original score from internationally acclaimed ukelele virtuoso and composer, Taimane and Hawaiian slack-key guitarist, composer, and vocalist, Makana, recognized by Guitar Player Magazine as one of the top guitarists in the United States. Additional performances by celebrated Hawaiian artists include Kau‘i Kanaka‘ole and ancient Hawaiian chanter and original artwork by Solomon Enos and Quadrophonix, a Hawai‘i-based free-form world beat band.

Kealoha (creator, writer, and lead performer) is Hawai‘i's first Poet Laureate Emeritus and an MIT-trained nuclear engineer. He fuses science, poetry, and art through his storytelling and dynamic live performance.
