About the Class

America's story is complex and evolving, full of as many stories as people to tell them. In this 8-week class, we'll explore works of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry that seek to give meaning to the American experiment. In conjunction with the Skirball's honoring of our nation's 250th anniversary, we'll write our own American tales in this mixed genre workshop.

All levels of experience are welcome.

Instructor: Megan McCord has an MFA from Antioch University Los Angeles where she teaches writing in the Bridge Program. She is a Los Angeles native, lifelong California resident, and lover of stories and storytelling. Her three cats allow her to live with them in Studio City where she also teaches yoga.
