About the Program

Using his humor, masterful musicianship, and dazzling percussion work, Louie Cruz Beltran builds a special connection with his audiences as he tells the story of how rhythms from Africa evolved through the Americas and found their way into today's music and culture.

Get ready to dance and play along to Afro-Cuban rhythms with jazz and R&B influences during this fun, informative, and interactive experience.

Before or after the performance, visit the galleries, make art, pretend you're an archaeologist, dine, and shop!
