About the Program
Art, music, and tradition are at the heart of both Jewish and Persian customs. This program invites visitors to gather at the Skirball for an exploration of Persian Jewish culture through our growing collection of Persian Jewish artifacts.
Savor a traditional tea service; hear live classical Santoor music; and dive deeper into history through a presentation that highlights objects from the Skirball’s collection related to Jewish life in Iran.

Welcome remarks from Skirball President and CEO, Jessie Kornberg and Skirball Board Member and President of the Younes & Soraya Nazarian Family Foundation, Sharon Nazarian, followed by a presentation with Sophie Levy—the Skirball's Nazarian Research Fellow in Persian Jewish Art, Culture, and History—on objects from the Skirball’s collection.
4:00–5:00 pm

Post-reception with continued tea, music, and light food.
