Join the Skirball at Central Library for a hands-on art and storytelling workshop inspired by artist Therman Statom. The artist is featured in the Skirball exhibition Glass Sukkah: This Home Is Not a House as well as in the huge, colorful Chandeliers at the Library. This program is led by artist-educators from our award-winning family destination, Noah's Ark at the Skirball. - Saturday, May 11, 2:00–3:00 pm - Visions and Values
Embark on a journey of discovery with the Skirball Cultural Center and explore the rich tapestry of family histories. Join us at the Los Angeles Central Library as we learn about a compelling true story of one family’s journey away from home, drawn from the Skirball's Visions and Values Curriculum. Then, collage with us and create a time capsule to honor your own unique legacy for future generations. Drawing inspiration from Jewish traditions and the Skirball’s extraordinary collection of Judaica, this workshop is designed for participants of all ages to share their family stories, create original artwork, and ignite positive change.
