Spotlight
Students in the Classroom
Inspired by their Noah’s Ark school tour, the Mindful Moment: Rainbow video on the Skirball website, and the Re-Discovered Animals lesson plan, 2nd grade students at Suva Elementary made animal sculptures out of recycled and repurposed materials and reflected on how to make positive change in their community.
“I hope that there is harmony in our world. I’ll tell people that violence is never the right answer, and this will contribute to making our world a better place.” —Mateo
“I hope that there is peace in our world. I can help by cheering up a friend who is feeling sad. This will contribute to making our world a better place.” —Juliette
