Tzedakah is the Hebrew word for justice. Start the week off with a meaningful at-home art project that inspires us to create a more just society. Using a recycled container, make a tzedakah box, and fill it with coins to donate to a good cause and/or actions you can take to help build a better world! Catch each step below or in today's story.
-A recyclable container (like a jar, bottle, Pringles tube, cereal box, or juice carton)
-Glue or paint
1. Remove the lid of your reusable container or cut an opening at the top of it.
2. Decorate the container with paper, magazine cut-outs, stickers, paint, and/or markers. Use your imagination!
3. Use your tzedakah box to store coins that you can donate later, fill it with ways you’d like to help in the coming month, or as you complete tasks, write them down and collect all the mitzvahs (good deeds) you’ve been able to accomplish.
