About the Program

Gain complimentary admission to the Skirball galleries as part of the annual Museums Free-for-All, a joint effort by over thirty local museums to present art and culture to the diverse communities of Southern California for FREE.

  • Noah’s Ark at the Skirball—Hang out with hundreds of handcrafted animals aboard this interactive exhibition and immerse yourself in a timeless tale!

Enjoy these exhibitions and offerings as part of FREE general admission:

  • Jack Kirby: Heroes and Humanity—Delve into the six-decade career of legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby through original comic illustrations, fine art, costumes, and his experiences as a first-generation Jewish American.
  • Draw Them In, Paint Them Out: Trenton Doyle Hancock Confronts Philip Guston—Explore resonant connections between two trailblazing American artists in dialogue together for the first time in an exhibition that considers the role artists play in the pursuit of social justice.
  • Glass Sukkah: This Home Is Not a House—Immerse yourself in a monumental glass work by Black American artist Therman Statom, who reinterpreted Jewish holiday rituals using his own visual language and history.
  • TORN Project by Susan Lerner—Thirty-six collages that artist Susan Lerner created from shreds of torn-down "Kidnapped from Israel" posters in response to the events of October 7, 2023.
  • Common Ground—Two hundred twenty-four pieces of ceramic tableware and ceremonial pots created by artist Adam Silverman celebrate American pluralism while fostering human connection.
  • Visions and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America—Explore four thousand years of Jewish history and discover how ancestral visions shape modern values.
  • Family Art Studio—Be inspired by the eclectic and unconventional materials found in Draw Them In, Paint Them Out and Glass Sukkah: This Home Is Not a House to create a mobile out of found and recycled objects.
  • Music Jam in the Amphitheater—At 11:15 am, grab a drum, shaker, or scraper during a music jam outdoors.
